Refund Policy

1. Definitions

• Credits / Credit purchases: Prepaid balance used to place orders (including comment tasks, post tasks, and upvote orders).
• Subscription: A recurring plan payment that may include monthly included credits or subscription access.
• Automod Removed: Content removed automatically by Reddit's automated systems (not a human moderator).
• Removed by mod / Moderator removed: Content removed by a subreddit moderator or moderation team (human action).
• Sitewide filtering / sitewide removals: Platform-wide enforcement or filtering by Reddit that results in widespread removals.

2. Credit Purchases and Subscriptions Are Non-Refundable

All credit purchases and subscription payments are final.

• 2.1 We do not offer cash or debit refunds for purchased credits, unused credits, or credit balances.
• 2.2 We do not offer any refunds (cash, debit, or credit) for subscription payments.
• 2.3 Subscriptions are non-refundable once purchased, regardless of usage. However, any credits included with your subscription remain in your account and can be used for orders.
• 2.4 Credits are a digital service balance and are not refundable to cash or debit once purchased.

3. Publication and Credit Eligibility

3.1 Principle

Credits pay for publication. A task is fulfilled when the content is published to Reddit and is publicly visible.

3.2 Eligible for a credit return

Credits are returned to your Engain balance in the following cases:

• 3.2.1 Failure to publish. The task did not publish or was reported as published but was never visible to the public at any time during the estimated time of submission. This is the case even when we have queue delays (Section 3.2.4), account availability, system error, and tasks that could not be posted because the Engain team canceled the request. These returns are automatically processed.
• 3.2.2 Automated removal by Reddit (Automod). The content was removed by Reddit's automated systems called Automod which will come up as its own task on our dashboard as Automod Removed. Typically credits will be automatically refunded in this case.
• 3.2.3 Cancellation before publication. The task was cancelled by you, by us, or automatically, before publishing in any case. Does not include the credit required to delete the post.
• 3.2.4 Tasks pending beyond seven days. A task that remains in progress and has not been completed within seven days of submission is automatically cancelled, and the credits are returned to your Engain balance.

3.3 Not eligible for a credit return

Credits are not returned in the following cases:

• 3.3.1 Removal by a human moderator. A subreddit moderator or moderation team removed content that had been published and was publicly visible. View Article
• 3.3.2 Posting account suspension. Where the posting account is suspended or restricted as a result of the content published for your task, and that content is removed with the account, the task is not eligible for a credit return. Where the suspension arises from factors unrelated to your content, the task is treated under 3.2.1.
• 3.3.3 Reddit sitewide filtering. Reddit conducted platform-wide enforcement affecting multiple customers at once. View Article
• 3.3.4 Customer-supplied content. The content failed to publish or was removed because of material you provided, including prohibited terms, incorrect target URLs, or links to restricted domains.
• 3.3.5 Customer-requested changes. You requested an edit or deletion after publication, including where an edit triggered re-review and subsequent removal.
• 3.3.6 Thread or subreddit changes after publication. The thread was deleted by its author, or the subreddit became private, restricted, or banned, after your content was published.

3.4 How eligibility is determined

Engain tracks the publication status of each task, and the Reddit URL if it exists. This record is available via Track Tasks or on request and we use it together with Reddit's removal signals to classify affected tasks. This section determines eligibility, not status alone, since a task's status doesn't reflect what actually happened on Reddit. Credits will be returned to your balance where the cause cannot be determined with reasonable certainty.

3.5 Form of return

All returns under this section are credits to your Engain balance, not cash or card refunds. See section 2.

4. Upvote Orders on Removed or Cancelled Tasks

4.1 If you ordered upvotes alongside a task and the related post or comment is removed or cancelled, you will receive credits back only for the upvotes that were not yet delivered before the post or comment was removed.

4.2 Delivered upvotes are not refundable.

5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

5.1 This Refund Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia.

5.2 Any disputes arising out of or relating to this policy shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Estonia.

6. Policy Changes

6.1 This Refund Policy was updated on September 30, 2026. We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Engain after an update means you agree to the revised policy.
